Sujata Qasba,
M.D.
Dr. Sujata Qasba was born and raised in the
mountainous city of Srinagar, Kashmir in
India. After completing medical school at
Kashmir Medical College, she moved to the
United States and completed her pediatric
residency at St. Vincent Hospital in New
York City and adolescent medicine fellowship
at Howard University in Washington DC.
Following her training, she started working
in an outpatient clinic which inspired her
to start her own practice. In 1992, she took
the leap of faith and established Qasba
Pediatrics. Since, her practice has grown
beyond her imagination. After nearly thirty
years in practice and continued loyalty of
her patients, some of the first patients
that walked into her office in the nineties
now bring their own children to her. Over
the years, medicine and science has
continuously evolved and Dr. Qasba is always
refining her skills and knowledge. She is a
big proponent of breastfeeding and
vaccination. Dr. Qasba is a Board Certified
Pediatrician and a member of the American
Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Qasba holds
privileges at Howard County General
Hospital, which means she can see newborns
in their nursery.
Dr. Qasba enjoys practicing yoga,
meditation, reading, and spending time with
her grand-kids during her free time.
